Wiper Motor Install Help

I have searched up and down this forum and could not find what I was looking for.

Long story short, the transmission arms that move the wiper blades disconnected from the motor. How does one snap that thing back over the "nipple" on the motor? I have the plasic cover off from outside the car so I can hold the arm, but I am still a good 4 inches away from the end where it snaps to.

This happened to a Vert I briefly owned. I had to take off the leaf guard on the lower winshield to get access to it. After that I just found a way to get my arm on it and push as hard as freaking possible. Took a long time and was a major PITA.

After you snap it back on it takes some futzing with to get the wipers to park correctly as well, but with that I don't have any idea as to what I did.

Yeah I messed with it for a little while and said the hell with it. I guess I will have to try and find a way to get my whole hand in there.

Remove leaf guard.
Rotate wiper blade till arm is by hole, snag arm and pull it through hole.
Pop nipple into the arm and reinstall assembly.
It's pretty simple actually.

You would think so Will the arm bend to go though the opening on the fire wall? I tried that, but I was scared i'd snap something, so needless to say, I didn't give that part to much effort.

I did just that and it all went together like clock work! Thanks! While I was in there, I lubed all the joints. Might save me some headaches down the road!
