Red face Winshield wipers won't stop moving

Hey all,

My winshield wipers totally went crazy. I was driving home and the winshield wipers died at intermediate and II. only worked at I. So when i got further home i decided to shut it off.... When i went to OFF the wipers didn't stop wiping... and it didn't stop wipping at any setting... any ideas? how to fix?

I think you switch needs to be r/r. I think IceMark has a service that repairs such parts.

Yea i agree with the above but if you want them to stop for the time being unplug them. You can either pull the dash apart which u will have to do anyways if you have icemark rebuild it and unplug it there. Or you can unplug the motor under the hood on the firewall

I mounted a cut switch to mine, only problem is it only has one speed. the plus side is I labled the switch "eject passenger" for every time my girlfriend gets out of line

The high/intermittent setting is a common failure of the internal relay- I can rebuild or sell you an rebuilt switch to fix it.

The wipers always on, can be a bad motor (in about half the cases it is) or a bad switch.
