Yeah, from 3-10HP, and the really good ones (GT Style) can reach around 15hp max, but thats pushing it.

Ok, give the guy a break. No they don't add hp. The purpose of a wing is to add downforce. Meaning at high speeds the wind will push down and help the car stay on the road. But this doesn't apply to all wings because some are merely cosmetic. But this doesn't matter much unless you are an all out racer.
Many people on here don't like that kit. I actually do like it. But I don't like super style wings. this is the wing I like

To give you an idea of what that will look like in yellow I did a quick photoshop.

I really question how much downforce anyone is going to get with a wing on a semi-normal street car. In street applications they're usually held on with 2 screws. Maybe 20 lbs of downforce, tops.

Can't remember what the car is called, but it's made in sweeden and ment to be a Mclaren F1 class car. It produces like 150lbs front and back. Unlikey that you've have something anywhere close to that good on your FC. Porportionally to the weight you're not increasing the frictional forces much. 5cm (~2") of extra rubber is probably a much better investment. Then there's F1 or CART cars which produce enough downforce that they could drive upside down. (although in CART most is due to ground effects)

oohotcarameloo: In straight line situations wings slow you down.

I realize that in the vast majority of cases, wings have little effect. I was just explaining the nature of a wing. Instead of teasing him like Node did.

No worries, I was mentioning it more for him than for you. Personally I'm more than a little sick and tired of seeing crap stuck on cars. Whether it's a pimped civic or a stock pontiac with stock "speed groves," it all looks stupid. Speed groves as I like to call them, make reference to the Simpsons where Homer is adding "speed holes" with a pickaxe to his car.

Node: Just curious, you don't own an RX-7 correct? Are you planning on getting one at some time?
