Hey, I was just washing the old TII today ( and detailing the engine bay) when I noticed small drops of coolant on the front left side of my intake snorkel. I wiped it off, went for 'spirited' drive, came back and it the mysterious drops had reappeared. I looked closer at the radiator and noticed that it was oozing coolant out the top. Can I use some sort of stop leak or sealant or am I looking at a new radiator? Oh yes also if anyone knows how to hook up an Air/Fuel guage let me know.

 

my car was leaking coolant also..
turned out to be the coolant sensor plug thing on top of the radiator
it's plastic and it has crack and that's why it's leaking under pressure..
i am going to replace that..
bought it off from someguy on thepartstrade for $15
he hasn't ship the thing out yet...i am waiting..

b4 i bought it, i went to dealer and ask about it...
there's difference for 86-88 and 89-91
but someone said they are the same...

 

it's probably leaking between the plastic top tank and the core. mine blew there a couble months back. time for a new rad. I won't try any of the leak stuff. it'll just get inside the engine too.

 

hey, thanks for the advice. I've been looking around for a new radiator and found one from an '88 TII in my area for $50 in good shape. Will this radiator fit my '89?
