windshield wipers?

windshield wipers?

so i dont know if it is just me but my windshield wipers only work on one speed and that is fast. got online to see how much the new one is and almost crapped my pants...oh and i have a vert. while sitting on the throne and going through a jcwhittney i believe, there was a product like on the new cars that when it starts to rain it turns on the wipers automatically. it wires directly to the motor bypassing the switch. good idea? its like 30 bucks....

wow thats cool, but really pricy. hmm i wonder what type of sensor they use it's probably really easy to make. i'll look into it and get back to this thread later

ok, if you look on ebay search "bmw rain sensor" and theres only 1 of them it's a little black box with 4 wires coming out of it, the way it works is, it sends out an IR signal which hits the windshield at 45degrees, it measures light defraction and when waters on the windshield it refelects differently.

i like the idea

eyah man my windshield wipers didnt work either... i heard the motor spining but no motion in te wipers,,,take it from me man my problem was that the rods conecting the motor to the wipre wasnt conected... lift the hood n take out the pice that covers the windeshield wipers and reconect them.. i dont know maby thats your problems check it out though u never know

this one actually has a little sticky sheet that goes on your windshield behind your rearview mirror ans senses the drops so i think i might just get it. here it is
