Windshield wiper switch disassembly??

Ok S4 N/A, i pulled the dash and the wiper switch/hazard switch assembly because my wipers dont work properly (only on the I speed), and i want to clean the contacts. Mostly because i dont have the cash for a new one (even used), and i was bored. So, how the hell do i get this thing apart to get at the contacts? it all snaps together somehow but i cant figure it out, and theres no screws left that i can find. Help plz??

more than likely you wont be able to acess the contacs thay are inside of the little relay boxes that are on the chip board. i just did this repair on my girl frieds dads TII. you need a new relay and some good soldering skills to get it done. you have to remove the little relays and replace them with new units. hope that helps you

If you want to do it yourself:

http://www.mazdamark.com/DIY_wiper_repair.htm

and if you want to get to the switch contacts, you need to un-solder all the spots marked in red, then you can pull the switch apart:

Or if you want to buy a already rebuilt one:
http://www.mazdamark.com/switches.htm

Or if you want us to rebuild your's for you

Hello

I rebuilt the wiper switch with all new relayes all three replaced the front wiper works good
the back wiper only works if I push the wash button then it works will not work in both on settings.
could it be the wiring ? does the wiring go bad also ?

Well, since this thread has been brought up I'll ask. Icemark, you have any more wiper or headlight switches that are rebuilt?
