vert running like crap

I am having trouble with my 91 vert n/a, the problem seems to be temperature related, the car starts and runs great cold, but when up to operating temperature, it loses the ability to accelerate the rpms, u could go wot and the rpms wont climb, and it seems to be shooting alot of black smoke when this happens, it sounds like its trying to 2step. if any one could help me i would appreciate it.

Is your check engine light on? This could be a limp mode issue. Other possibilities are the infamous TPS and the engine coolant temp sensor.
