Window Trim

The little metal piece on the bottom of my window trim is all rusted up (pretty common I guess) I've read that you just pop them off and replace them with the plastic pieces, I was just going to sand and repaint it.

My question is, after you take the side mirrors off, can I just pop off the trim or is it more like pry, or remove some screws them pop?

there is one screw on the rear side of the piece. Just take out that screw and the whole piece should just snap off. The mirror can stay in place I believe.

I didn't have to remove a screw on mine. I carefully pried it up from starting from the back part of the door working toward the mirror. I bought new ones at the dealership($37/each) a few years ago. There is no comparison from the painted ones to the new ones. The new ones are made differnt so they shouldn't rust or fade like the original ones do.
