I just pop them up. You run the window down, then you pry them up.

Then sand and paint them. Mine look brand new!

Mazdatrix was cheaper for me than Victoria British, for what it's worth.

I got mine from the dealer, no offense to those who have painted them, but they are just not the same as brand new.

The biggest problem with replacing any exterior trim piece other then the cost is...once you get started by putting the first peice, it makes the other original parts look like @#$$% and then you want to spend more and get more...then the entire process repeats itself!

After all of this you will want to paint the car, get new wheels, etc, etc, etc! Now I am scared to add up the bills, probably spent more on parts then I have the entire car!

Consider yourself warned!

btw... i suck at all things paintlike, and that was my first try. I got mine at home depot. Diluted it with a little paint thinner... and painted it on in 3 coats. Took me 1 hour start to finish.

Looks good! Do you have any pictures without the water?

Too late for me ( I dropped the bucks) but a friend with a 86 could use a makeover. Home depot you say? What was the brand name? Plastic dip?

Thanks
