window strip

On the top outside of the drivers side door('86 base), is a strip of plastic covered metal. I believe it also holds the rubber wiper for the driver side window.
Is this part available from mazda or after market? Is it held in by screws or just snap in?
On mine the plastic is cracked and some is missing, which shows metal(that is rusty). This strip runs the length of the window, anyone know what this is called? I'd like to replace this piece, but have never seen a post on it.

Yeah, outside top door trim.&nbsp New ones only last a year or so before they deteriorate.&nbsp I just cut all the plastic away, spray with some good black paint and snap them back on.

I did the same thing on another RX-7 I use to own, but instead of painting them, I used some good quality black electrical tape (use super 33+ 3M because the cheap stuff wont stick as well) and I covered them with a single long strip of electriclal tape on each side (works better if you remove the trim from car first). It looked better then the paint (that I tried first) and it looks more like the stock rubber then the paint did. It was cheap to do and looked fine.
