I would like to have a collection of RX7s. I would like a stock SA and FB,and then a highly modified SA and FB. Follow that up with a stock FC NA,and then a modded FC NA and a stock TII and a modded TII. I like FDs,but never plan to own one. The RX7 I have now,I don't know how long I will keep it. I've only had it for like 2 weeks, but this is definetly a project daily driver. I plan to keep it for as long as possible, and I will be dumping all of my discretional income into it to build it into a road burning street legal race car monster. I have had a burning passion for RX7s since I first found out about them, and I wanted to buy one in 2002 when I was looking for a car,but I opted to stay away from them because I didn't know a rotary specialist. Now I am teamed up with CP Racing. We'll make it fast. Muwahaha!!

If I die in my RX7,atleast I will die happy....
unless I drove my car off a cliff and landed upside down and I was crushed but still alive and nobody found me and I was paralyzed and couldn't move and was dying slowly....yeah,that would suck...
hmmm....
Actually,I wouldn't die happy in my RX7,knowing it's all smashed up and beyond repair and another one has given up the ghost and that's one less RX7 for the rest of us.

I'm sure I will have mine for a long time. If the engine blows a v8 will be going in though .. also unless some old guy decides to hit me again the next time i will just total it out like I should of with this one.
I don't have a 7 yet, and I wish that they caught my eye when I was 14. Only about 2 months ago have I started falling in love with the car. I think about it every day and read as much as I can about them. And when my 7 is imported from Japan, oh boy, I also plan on keeping it till I die.

I wish I could say yes, but my TII will most likely hit a wall at a race track or another car befor I die. The drivetrain will live on though. When I get my next vert and start dumping a lot of money into it... that will be a different story.

I've thought about using my car as a stepping stone to an FD or a TII, but then, it kinda grew on me. Like a lil puppy. I've had it since June 7th, 2003 (graduation day!) and I've woken up every morning since then and looked at it. I just stare, and think "What an awesome car!" It looks so damn sporty, the interior is very spartan and there arent any distractions, and handles so damn well. I know that beacause of this I'm alive today. Although I believe my luck will run out soon and I'll be involved in a serious accident, (damn Vegas drivers...) I will keep it for as long as I can. I'll have it through college (only 5 or 6 years left!) and after I get a real job. It's just built some sentimental value over the last few months, I can't stand to let it go. Every car I buy will be an addition to the family. I'm sure I'm not alone when I say "I LOVE YOU FC!"
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to hug my FC, and I think you should too.

You will have to pry my cold, dead fingers off the steering wheel of my 'vert. Better yet, just bury me in it. I have had people offer to buy it on the roll on hwy 19, I just smile and shake my head, resisting the urge to extend my middle digit.
I'll always be into rotaries. But I definetaly won't keep my car forever. I thought I'd always keep my FD, but I sold it, after putting a lot of money into it. Same thing will happen with my FC. I seem to be going older. I already have a 1st gen lined up.
Wow... the first guy sounds like me.
I look outside, and see that beautiful blue car, and I just think how "privelaged" I am.... NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS would I think this about a 3K dollar Japanease car. I sit in it and I just feel..... goooood I STILL get an addreline rush when I get on the gas (man I need to drive a TII!)
I don't know if I will be keeping it for life.. but let's put it this way. I will be driving it for quite a while.

its like those cheesy aim/aol profiles that always say dumb **** like "ill love you forever and always *insert name here*" some of them last but most of them dont. atleast if i crash the fc racing on a track ill be statisfied, the car will go out doing something i loved to do and the car loves to do, everytime i go outside and work on the car and look at it knowing that itll run again soon theres nothin else that i would be wanted to do. sitting in the car, driving the car, working on the car, its the best feeling. its a pure sports car at its finest.
Definitely, I bought my 89 gtu FC, several years ago for $400. It had sat under a tree for almost two years and had never been started or covered. It was pretty rough looking. My son and I got it running and I drove it for a year before it lost compression on the front rotor. I garaged it for over a year, until I could find someone in NC that I could trust to do the engine rebuild. After Rotor Sports Racing finished their stage II rebuild, street porting, adding a new Bonez Hi-flow cat and new RB exhaust system I drove it for a few weeks and then hit a deer on the way to work one night. Well, that got me a new bumper and some much needed body work and a complete paint job. I have been working on the interior and have replaced the usual trim parts and got the radio antenna working on my new Blue Point CD tuner thanks to info I found on this web site.
I am still working on a near showroom restoration but am having a ton of fun with this car. It is now a beautiful Black rotary machine with some custom GTU badges and rotor graphics. I love driving it and love working on it and look forward to many years of the same.
