wouldn't you want to know before you spent your money on something???

But to answer your question, it will work in a cold air box. It will be a waste of money in anything else.

And if you would like more replies, then try actually having a real subject for a thread title. For example this one would have gotten more replies if you had used something like : Cone air filter, will this one work (and then actually post a picture, instead of a lame link).

All you bought was a generic filter and a generic adaptor

The adapter is a square . Doesn't even flow that well.

well his car is a n/a so im not sure if big power is the goal here...

if you want it just to have it... then sure it will work fine

if you want it to gain power then its time to search for "cold air box" or 'cold air intake" "cai" ... there is another thread about this same topic a few threads up.

and i agree on the proper use of thread title.... use common sense. there are people on this forum with all the answers, when we have to dig through pages of threads named "whats wrong" or "will this work" it makes us not want to help.

plus naming threads correctly cut doen on reposts and make searching much easier.

Answer to your original question: Not as well as the stock air box. It may flow better but cone (even K&N brand) filters consistently don't filter as well as OEM filters as evidenced by high silicon content in used oil analysis samples. So, while your engine bay may look "cool", the filter will allow more silicon to get through and that can worsen engine wear.

I'm not sure what the obsession is trying to improve the performance of a slow car, the NA. It is like trying to put a nice dress on an ugly girl...not worth it.
