will it work?

my 89 may get new 6 1/2 inch speakers all around. i am sure they will work in the back, but what about in the front? please tell me about your experiences!

Yes I have 6.5" in the front. You will need a spacer depending on how much depth the speakers have.

You're going to have to custom mount them. I used Audiobahn 6 1/2"s in the front, and what I had to do was mount the speaker flush with the surface of the dash, not in the recess that's provided from the factory. With the all black speaker grills, you can't really notice, unless I point it out. Looks good, sounds good. My car was not equipped with door speakers, though. I dunno if Rxes came with that option.

i got 6.5 speakers put in my car also but they had to do something custom to make them work, everything ended working out though....good luck!
