Try this. Put your stock size in, then insert the new wheel specs, and it will tell you how much closer it is to the suspension & fender. It will give you a general idea in relationship to the stock set up.

wow that site is sweet.

you will probbably need a 15mm spacer on the front wheels...

stock turbo is 7" 40mm. just use that.. that almost touches the struts and the new ones will be 14mm closer.

you might need some spacers for the back too..

Spacers will be needed on front and back. 15 should be good 20 is perfect but i dunno if they make those.

15x6.5 40mm offset is the stock convertible size.

8.5 is pretty wide for the front... although you are sitting out 5mm more than stock offset. (offset is measured from the wheel centerline, so it is a true measure of how much it moves the tire out, regardless of rim width.) The problem is, 225 is as wide as you can reasonbly go on the front with stock offset... and only SOME tires will clear the spring perches. 5mm more of offset would gain you enough to go to a 235 width tire (they're 10mm wider, half on the outside, half on the inside) but you have to stick with a narrow carcass tire like a Yokohama AVS intermediate... and you will be REALLY close to rubbing the spring perches. A small spacer might be helpful. If, as you say, you have a wide-body kit, those might work nicely, WITH spacers. Add a 10mm spacer and go to 245 width tires on the front.

Also, 18's are a lot of rotating mass... are you SURE you want to do that?

the car is being prepped as a show car wchich will be getting a bit of GO! later in the near future....but i was thinking of going 30-40 series tires on these. 225 or 235x30 or 35 or 40 x 18. will it rub in the front then?
