i'm wondering if i can use an s5 front iron in my s4 build. since i have corner seal wear on my front iron. the reason i ask is because i have access to an s5 front iron thats allready ported like my motor.

Yes you can, just order a S5 front cover oil o-ring. The S5 uses a teflon/ rubber o-ring, so it has a larger machined groove.

I am pretty sure the waterpump/housing will not swap between series, something to make note of

waterpump wont matter, the irons are the same in that respect. you can just use the one you have.

 

water pump (housing)mounting is the same for all series 13B, you can even bolt a S4 water pump to an FD but obviously it won't work for that engine.
