I think it should fit. However, most people do the opposite, meaning, they put a S5 short shifter into a S4, since S4's come with 12x1.5 thread, which many popular shift ***** do not. S5 come with 10x1.25 I think, not sure on the thread pitch, like the FDs do. This will open up a lot more varieties of shift **** for you. I personally love the old Mazdaspeed one, in CF, but unfortunately, it only fits 10x1.25, not 12x1.5.

 

yes it will fit but like mentioned above you will need a s5 shift **** or a aftermarket 1 cause the threads are diffrent
