I have an n/a 88 engine and bought a new, never used 85 gsl-se header for cheap. The header will bolt up no problem and I realize the header is too short so my local NAPA place said they can make an adapter np to my presilencer. The problem I am worrying about is that the collector on the header is 2 inch, my presilencer is 2.5. Will the 2 inch diamter restrict any noticeable power or should I get them to cut it off and make it 2.5 inch?

This is the frist time I've held a or seen a header...this header was bought a few years ago and has the O2 sensor right where the collector is. Is that where all yours are?

With the amounts of mods you have, I doubt you would see any drop in power.
