Help, parked 86 RX7 1 plus year ago, can not get started. Turns over great, it had a dead battery, I replaced with new, pulled plugs and turned over, did get mist out of engine, checked for spark, that is ok, put in new plugs. Gas smells old. I did perform "flooding" procedure per info I found on web, no luck.

What else can I check? can I flush though old gas, add anything to fuel tank?(it is full of fuel) Car is not turbo charged. It was running fine when parked in storage.

 

Check your fuel pump to see if it is pumping fuel. Sounds like a fuel delivery problem - your gas may have varnished and clogged your pump. A new pump is around $225 so suggest if you replace it that you flush your tank before replacing the pump or you will be replacing it again soon.
