will not idle- not vac. leak
ok, i've had the car up and running for the past month after 7 months of downtime. during this time, i've done a lot of the mods listed in my sig.- TID, turbo/WG porting, ACV/air pump removal, etc.
for the first few weeks, the car idled at 1500-1700rpm. i attributed that to having the AFM(s4) at about 30deg angle due to the TID. but one day,the damn thing wouldn't idle w/o the foot on the gas. also i noticed that my a/f meter was reading stoich. usually, it would run rich w/ even the slightest touch on the pedal. and it also stopped back firing as much.
at first, i thought it was a vac leak. but close inspection revealed that it wasn't. i can keep the idle at 750 solid w/ just a touch on the gas. so it doesn't seem like a vac leak anywhere. also, few days ago, my a/f meter started to read like it used to. no change in idle though. the car runs fine besides that. i haven't adjusted the tps yet. it was adjusted a few months before the car broke down. i guess i can adjust it to cover up the problem. what else could it be? clogged injectors? problem in ignition sys? then the car would be really rich then, right? anyone with ideas?
