i have no idea what mite be wrong with my car. my car will not idle but it seems to drive fine for the most part. any one have any ideas on what it might be? this is my first rotory car so dont know much about it. i do know how to work on piston cars a little bit. so here are the details on whats going on. will not hold idle for pool. will boost like 6-7 psi in 1st and 2nd but in 3rd thru 5th it boost 10-12 psi. in the low rpms the motor shakes like crazy. i think thats the main stuff. the mods on the car are downpipe exhust hks filter and fuel cut def. i dont think there is much more. i just got this car a month or 2 ago and it was in bad shape so im trying to fix thing 1 at a time. i fixed a couple of things that i knew was wrong with it alread and now it drives nice but it will not idle. i am on a buget so dont make me buy anything i dont need. i want to take it to ben or rick but not enough cash to do that so they are last case cuz i hate pullin money out of my savings

If you don't know the car's previous owner(s) and its pedigree, you should probably first do a complete tune up. Plugs, plug wires, fuel filter, timing...you should also check the setting of the throttle position sensor and get it set correctly. Then adjust the idle speed to 700-800. There's two or three ways to set the TPS. Look in the on line factory service manual. Run some searches on tune ups too. There's lots of info in these forums.
