Short answer no. FD clutches are pull type and FC are push type.

i was under the impression that an fd trans would work with the 13b re ( read that somewhere, could be complete misinformation) and if it would work, i would think it wouldnt be that difficult to convert it .... is it really just not worth trying?

Stick with the t2 trans. You CAN convert to an fd trans and clutch setup, but it's pointless and more expensive. Don't waste your time and money because the t2 trans is a very strong transmission.
......Unless you're pushing over 800rwhp, only then would you look into upgrading to something else.

the fd is a pull type and the fc is a push type. Some of the expensive clutches for the fd have a kit inside when you buy them to convert them into push type. The twin OS giken clutch on one of my friends fd is converted into a push type.

That's a stupid reason.

You ready to custom make a driveshaft for this set-up?
You ready to custom make the trans mounts for this set-up?
You ready to accomodate the relocated shifter lever?

If you're looking at a USED clutch, be careful, as rebuilt parts are NOT cheap.
An OS Giken twin clutch rebuilt kit is almost $1,000!
Why do you need a big clutch like that?
Are you making big power?
If you're not, it's a waste of money no matter how you slice it...

What's with all the hostility? I'm basing that off of someone who dynoed 769 at the wheels on the stock TII tranny.

ok well since you quoted me ( and this is the second time im letting everyone know i have no desire to use the fd trans)...... it says i was trying to convert the t2 tranny to a pull type to use the clutch, not convert an fd tranny to work....when i said i wasnt doing it for power reasons, i meant im not swapping transmissions.

i need a big clutch like that because orc says its rated at 400ps, and im looking to make around 350 or so with the setup im putting together. ive read that nicer single and dual plate clutches are very streetable for the power they will hold vs going 6 puck with a heavy duty PP ( been there done that) so i thought since id only be getting it for a couple hundred bucks that it would be a worthy investment

ill probably just end up selling it if i get it cheap

preciate the insight guys, sorry for the confusion

Okay, you're trying to use an FD3S clutch kit with a 13BT and FC3S turbo tranny.
Do we got this right?

Short answer, NO.
Converting the push-type clutch hydarulics to a pull-type needed for the FD3S clutch is going to be a custom job.
I am not aware of anyone who has a pre-fab kit to do this in one shot.
This means you're on your own if you really insist on doing this.
