Will this electric fan work?
I am currently having overheating problems while in traffic. Luckily my friend works at Nissan and got an electric fan from a Nissan Armada.
I am pretty sure that it will cool a rotary. If it can cool a V8 then I am pretty sure it can cool my RX-7.
I just wanted to get some advice and reassurance with what I am planning on doing.
Thanks

A properly working stock clutch fan will cool better. (with the shroud)
When you mean while in traffic do you mean sitting still / barely moving or freeway travel?
If its at higher speeds, something else is wrong with your cooling system. Also make sure your under carriage thingy is installed. (the big black plastic thing that goes from your front bumper and under the engine)

No I know my problem is that the clutch fan is bad. I only overheat when I am in traffic or stop and go driving. It will cool off during freeway driving. It just so happened that today, when I realized that it was the clutch fan was the problem, my friend told me that he got a free electric fan from work that he was willing to give me. So I want give this a try before spending money on replacement parts. And yes the underbelly pan is on my car.
Thanks for the response.

Yeah I am going to replace the thermostat while I am at it. I replaced it a few months ago when I first bought the car, but I plan on replacing it anyways. I'm going to give this project a go. If it doesn't work, I am not really losing any money.
Thanks guys
