Will this depressurize my A/C system?

There's an A/C line in the way of my blower that I either have to bend or remove. If I remove this line, will I depressurize my system and vent freon into the air (ILLEGAL)?

Also, will you vent freon if you simply take off your A/C compressor?

Did you just ask us if you undo one of the A/C lines would it vent all the gas? Do we really "need" to answer that?

~edit~ because I know some people don't know anything about A/C's and some people don't know anything...yes, if you undo that line, say bye bye to freon.

take your car to a place that refills ac systems. I took my car in and it cost 20 or 40 to get the freeon removed. be nice to the enviroment since most likely your mods aren't lol

god dammit. the problem is my car's on jack stands and I can't get this installation done unless I undo that line. btw i was just double checking.

I guess I'll bend the line and remove it later.

Well **** it, I guess I have to take it to the mechanic and have him vent it. I'll have him take it off while he's at it. That's a pain in the *** and some dough out of my pocket to have to deal with this ****, and it's really frustrating to have that left out of the instructions.
