will an 89 gauge cluster fit an 88?
Well first of all the engine in my 88 is a 90 so the red line well be accurate. But do you know if all the connectors on the back will be compatable?

Assuming you're talking about the Speedo cluster:
I'm 90% sure everything plugs in.
Assuming you're talking about the Idiot Light cluster:
I think it's a direct plug in, but I believer the face slants differently on a S5 vs. a S4.

The plugs will connect but the wiring is different so you'd have to rewire them. Check out this thread:

I read the other forum that you gave the link for and I'm still a bit confused. By harness do you mean the connectors that plugs into the 89-91 speedo cluster from the 89-91 car? Cause if you do I have those and then would it be just a matter of matching the colors of the wires from my 88 to the ones of the connectors out of the 89-91?
