will a 88 5 spd tanny bolt str8 up to a 91 engine?

will a 88 5 spd tanny bolt str8 up to a 91 engine?

i got a 91 n/a with an automatic and it sux, but i got the car free so i took it, i need a 5 spd. bad, ive got a spare 88 5 spd tranny, will it bolt up?

Yes but you will need an aftermarket flywheel and the correct drivshaft not to mention installing the pedal and slave cylinder and resivoir. I'm sure I forgot something.

and i believe the speedometer cable is shorter on one of them...
now is a good time to get that aftermarket light flywheel!!!
master and slave clutch cylinders...... i cant think of anything else..

Anybody know if the brake pedal is a different size? On many cars its bigger since the clutch pedal isin't in the way.

Automatics have bigger pedal, and its a bitch to put the clutch pedal in. And 88 tranny have longer throw than 91
