you better off using a 3rdgen UIM than the cosmo. It probably could work but the trouble to go through might not be worth the gain.

No. From everything I remember. An FD upper/lower will not match with a FC upper/lower mainfold. Also I asked a while back and The series 4/5 upper and lower manifolds can't be cross mated either. It is either 4 upper/ 4 lower or 5 upper/lower.

But Either S4/S5 TII manifold will work on the TII block.

Actually you can use either s4 or s5 LIM with the FD UIM it will take some modifications, the s5 LIM is easier to do.

Going to revive this. Any answers on how much work the cosmo intake requires to make it fit the S5 TII LIM?

Dont have an answer...Just curious why youd want to do it? The REW can/does and youll probably never need more than that. If you did, youre probably racing for a living and have sheet metal intake manifolds anyways.

Well, since no one really posted it up clearly (to me)

The cosmo UIM is very different from all other LIM. all 4 ports on it are about equal in size.

I have a S5 LIM mated to a S6 UIM with a little port matching and rounding out the bolt holes it pretty much matches up.

So that is a stock s5 TII LIM with RE UIM right? Does the RE LIM bolt up to the block? I saw a picture of one and both the coolant passages were blocked.

I just noticed I put s5 TII UIM and RE UIM. Ok so if using the s5 TII LIM you will need an adapter plate for the RE UIM.

powrdby13b- that's what I was trying to ask.

About the both coolant passages being block. That wouldnt matter fitment wise but thought I would mention it since the s5 t2 LIM has one coolant passage open.

OK: *from what I've read, and thats not entirely gospel* NEITHER the 13B-RE or the FD LIMs bolt on to EITHER S4 or S5 TII block (or each other, for that matter). You MUST either port the block or make an adapter plate. SAME GOES FOR THE UIM TO TII LIM.

What MOST people do is keep the TII LIM and port it and/or the 13B-RE or REW UIM to match, or make the adapter plate there, keeping the LIM stock.

Does that make it all clear for everybody?

Very close. But the Cosmo 13b-RE UIM requires a adapter where a S5 to S6 can be made to work with out one. (I have mine setup this way)
