i have an 89 vertable. in need of an engine. it is an automatic. i have a engine out of the 88 and the manual tranny and other things i need to do the conversion over. will the 86 engine and tranny mount up directly in place of the 89 engine and auto tranny? i know i wil have to change driveshaft but the rear end should be fine correct? please let me know. i have to get this car running again and have all the supplies, just out of the 86 model as apposed to the 89. which seem to be a bit different.
