Wierd problem, need help....
Okay. I posted a week ago how RX7 threw a few codes and was hesitating during acceleration, I troubleshooted each problem and everything was fine. I was test driving to see if the problem would come up again, and it did. The car was driving fine then I did two back to back 1/4 mile runs, to really test it. It did fine, until, I came to a stop and started going again. It hesitated again and the check engine light came on, this time it threw a code 27. That code is for the oil metering pump..... All manuals I looked at did point to this for the hesitation problem, does anyone know why it would be doing this? As soon as I turn off the car and turn it back on it drives fine, so it is not a constant problem which is good in a way.

The on a 89-91, the oil metering pump failing will put the car into limp mode.
You should not drive the car until that problem is fixed.
I would look at the connectors for it first (since your problem is intermittent), but then repalce the pump if no electrical problem is found.
