Wierd Loss of Hydraulic Fluid
Well fluid keeps dissapearing from my clutch master cylinder but I have no Idea wher e its leaking out from. It doesn't have to do with how many times I step on the clutch. I can sit there and step on the clutch repedeatedly for 5 mins but the fluid level will not change. But if the car sits there for about a day all the fluid will dissapear.
I replaced the slave line with a stainless steel braided one. Its all tightened down and every thing. Bleeder valve is closed tight. But the fluid is still dissapearing. Strange thing though it didn't do it before.
It isn't leaking from the master cylinder instead the engine bay is dry. So is where the clutch pedal is and where the rod goes inside that is dry. And the Slave cylinder does appear to be leaking either. The tranny is dry so fluid from there.
After I flushed the fluid then it started leaking. It use be dark and some gunk in there.
Im just really lost now. generally you can find the wet spot where its leaking form but in this case

check the slave again. i put a brand new one on .. and a day later had the same problem. this kept on occuring. finally i took the slave off and noticed theere was a miniscule crack at the beginning of the boot that was only evident when the boot was expanded.
Also stay w/ specific brake fluid Dot 3. When I decided to change the fluid on the car. Some "idiot" suggest I UP the Dot to 5... popped my clutch line. Struggled w/ it for months trying to figure out that it was just the fluid.
