Question Wierd Issues, related to porting maybe???

Ok well im starting to wonder if the previous owner of my car had the engine ported or something, because it has like no power down low untill you go under boost at like 4grand. Also ive went throu everything to get it to idle right and it still idles like its missing but its solid at 750.... How can you tell if the motor has been ported... Also when you first start it, it has the definate bridgeport sound.... even some other rotary guys asked me like wat kinda bridge port do you have... i dont Think it has a bridgeport because i didnt think they would idle below like 1500 but maybe so...

Help me out here is there anyway to tell??

well, you probably have an intake leak... if you want to find out if it's a bridgeport, then you will need to take the intake manifold off and stick your finger down the runner and feel for the bridge

My idle seems to have gotten pretty smooth since i went and got on the car and redlined it a bunch, first time ive done it in a while, is it unusual for a TII to have good compression after 134k miles without a rebuild?

It's not bridgeport.

Might be street ported, but in general street ports are not going to cause any major loss of low end, and they're not going to effect the idle very much if at all.

Sounds like the car has other issues. Based on your description, I would gess that the injectors aren't in very good condition.

the 550 primaries were just redone by witchhunters, and it has brand new venom 720's in the secondaires, but like i said it seems to idle and run much better since I went and went to redline throu the gears a few times, do you think maybe since its running rich(rtek 1.7 with no safc) that the plugs were getting a little fouled?
