widening fenders?

i've seen a bunch of the ae86 guys do this. essentially they unbolt the bottom of their fenders, pull it out and put spacers in so the fender is just separated further from the body. has anyone done this on fcs?

From: Findlay, Ohio for now. Thinking about moving in with your mom.
So your saying you want to separate your fender away from the car? Why not just buy a fender roller and roll them the easy way.

its been done.

cut the fender along where the side skirt would meet the fender, and weld something in there to stick it out. cheap wide fenders.

Yeah it is possible I think I know what your talking about but it will make a big space that you really couldn't fix between the door and fender.

Yeah that's what I thought unless you weld a sheet of metal right there you will have that huge gap and it will look weird... Depending on how much you need to fit in the wheel well you could just use the baseball bat trick and roll the fenders.
