wideband o2 sensor loaction

I got the AEM uego wideband kit and i have a question.

The instructions say 36 inches from the exhaust outlet, does that mean from where the manifold bolts up or where the downpipe bolts up?

Where have you guys put them?

Thanks in advance.

from the beginning of the downpipe.

I put my NGK A/Fx sensor about a foot down the DP, weld the bung in such a way that the sensor is not going to collect water.

It'll work pretty much anywhere in front of the cat but the closer to the motor the hotter the senor will be and the shorter it's life.

To help get the the most of out WBo2's, I sandwich a crimped piece of copper (Like a doughnut) around the base of the sensor as a heatsoak.
