Molding everything in is a badddd idea. First off, its tacky (just my opinion though), second it WILL crack after a while, nothing like spending hours molding crap together and having a killler paint job to have it crack a week to year later at all the seams. If you want to avoid the cracking use a high strength body glue/epoxy at all the points were you have two pieces put together before you mold it in (ex: glue your bumper cover to your fenders, not just bolts). Lastly, if you do ever encounter a minor "bump", curve, driveway, animal, or another car, all your body will be CRAP because all the joints in the related area that got bumped will crack. IAlso its a whole lot easier to replace a fender, or bumper that is damaged and have it painted to match then have to reshoot the entire damn car.

Just my $0.02, some of which is just my opinion.

it will crack, i did it before to my old fc, and it cracked and looked like chit.

Just curious, can you use the stock rims with spacers with a widebodykit so you can fill in the gap?

nope on the rims, itd take a very LARGE spacer to do it. and full coverage insurance is a beautiful thing as far as damage goes. the cracking eh.. doesnt bother me, i do the body work myself. Youll still see the body lines etc... just u watch

How much more wheel clearance do those fenders supposedly give? Im going to be getting the corksport fenders soon, so I can fit a 255 tire up front. They dont look nearly as large as the ones on your car.

yeah those fenders are monsterously wide. Ive seen them in person on Rx-Bens car. theyre just over 2'' wider than stock! you can fit a 285 up front on a 17x10 !!!!

I'll be running 17x10 all around (+12 front and +25 rear) with 12mm-16mm spacers on the fronts.
275 front tire, 285 rear tire... kumho MX for street.
tripoint replica front fenders (theyre like 50mm+) and Msports 30mm rear fenders.
that should provide enough grip under WOT and keep the handling well balanced front to rear for hitting the corners.

forgot to mention that I do like that front bumper... are you going with the tripoint stye rear fenders? gonna run any sideskirts?

I have the GP sports rear bumper on the car and the GP sports side skirts in my apt waiting for the rear 30mm fenders to come in. So yes ill have both. Should be one great looking car when its all done IMO. Smoothe body lines all covered with graphite grey pearl from the 01 Lexus IS300 with a shadowed style (slightly darker) 12" stripe down the middle.. similar to what vipers do

Everyone seems to think so, but ive done a few cars this way with no problems, no cracks etc down the line. If yer hitting every pot hole on lake shore drive SURE ya i can understand some cracking will occur. Just pay attention to the fiberglass inlay and the filler when u do it and you shouldnt have any problems. Perfect example is does a fiberglass bumper simply crack on its own? no. U have to hit somethin otherwise its fine. Im not using bondo. Filler to smoothe out the fiberglass underlay beneath it but thats it.

bondo is not design to hold things togeter....

They are desing to fill a small dent......

If you really want to mold it. use FRP and try to lay from inside and outside to make your front and fender as one unit

lol. yall are serious. to hold things togeather properly, drill small lil tiney holes allong the edges and kind of stitch those bitches togeather with chicken wire. then use phiberglass filler. that way, it will keep the flexing and bending to a very minemum

Looks pretty good so far. Thats the same kit I will be installing on my FC, except I'm not getting new bumpers or sides. I'll be painting mine super SUPER DARK DEEP SHINEY black though. Keep us updated because I wanna see how it looks completed.

Bad idea using FILLER just take a couple of extra steps and use matting and resin. All fillers (bondo-fiberglass filler) will crack out !!. I do this for a living!!!!. Just a thought. Here is a good way to Mold.

I miss Illinois. I've been in Tennessee 6 years too long.

PS- lived in Sugar Grove for over 22 years. And miss it. Lots of roads to haul serious ***. Although, we do have the twisties which are also fun.

Yes I have the bumper.

The GP sports bumper is not the replica from raceonusa, just the fenders. And last but not least..

Not only did a harmless trip to the casino last nite hurt fairly bad, on the way back the engine decided it was going to give out. And boy did it give out, blue flames and sparks flying everywhere. Its totally destroyed. God does not want me to take my car to the revolution.
