Why would anyone put AE badges on an 86?

Check this out:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=1854143890

It also has an AE 13BT, and it's painted yellow...

At least he admits it's an 86.

The AE badges are just a bad idea put into motion. I happen to like the yellow though. Over all looks like a pretty good 7 to me.

Probably everything donated by a totaled AE.
A couple of years ago I purchased an AE for $100 minus drive train, and hood. Really never liked the tinted windows nor the white wheels, so I took some parts off of it (suspension and some accessories), then gave it away. I guess someone would use those AE parts on a regular 7.

Looks pretty decent. But why in the hell is the fresh air feed thing for the intake painted red? I mean what would possess(sp?) someone to do that?

I agree, the yellow looks good, but the AE emblems are overkill. As for the red intake, I hear it's good for 5hp at the wheels...

at least he has an AE engine in it (although it's basically the same thing as a TII, it at least came OUT of an AE)

i have decent respect for the 10th anni. i needed some body parts and i got them off a 10th AE parts car of my friends. i got the hood, nose and front fenders, but i took all the badging off. the 10th is a rare car and i dont want to pretend mine is one of them.
