Alright, I've been trying to shoot flames with my 89 turbo. I can sometimes do it if I shift, or back off when its in gear and then punch it again, but they are very small and it will only happen 1/10 times.

I want to be able to do it on command, and make some decent ones before I put my LT-8 in and have it tuned properly.

Mods...
RB turboback exhaust
SARD blow-off-valve(atmospheric)
Walbro 255lph fuel pump, rewired
Removed ACV
Removed airpump
Removed dashpot
Running 93 octane with 8oz of premix per tank and fuctional OMP

I don't know if I'm so rich that the EGTs aren't high enough to ignite the gas or what, but there is deffinatly something comming out. In the video I'm reving to 7-7.5k ish and letting it drop to 4-5k and going back to 7-7.5k.

you should be glad that your not shooting flames. not only can you **** up somone pretty badly, or **** up somones car, you might **** up that precious s5 bumper you have. and btw i dont give a **** what people call this forum.

 

I agree wholeheartedly. if you're really concerned about shooting flames maybe you need to go to another "looks over performance" forum.
if you really want to shoot flames that bad, make your a/f ratio more rich, turn your boost down and then have at it. hey it's worth the power loss right?

didnt see anything about your cat being removed. try that .. thats a big reason why you cant shoot flames
