Why wasnt FC's equipped with 3 rotor stock?

Newb question I know but why werent FC's equipped with 3 rotors instead of 2? Are 3 rotors just not reliable? I thought of that today and I was like wouldnt they rather make a more powerful car at stock seeing as the engine bay has sooooo much room to fit in another rotor.

Cost and complexity I guess. They were plans to make the GTUs a 3 rotor N/A but they were dropped.

Why didn't they come stock with 4 rotor twin turbo? Why aren't all piston cars v12s? Why aren't all your girlfriends super models? Why is gas $3.10? Where did we come from? What came first, the chicken or the egg? ......

lol, some on guys think about it. What's the worst thing about the rotary? It is not very fuel efficient. The 3 rotor would not meet the hippie-tree-hugger emission standards so they said " forget the tree huggers, no 3 rotor for joo!"

I think the second part would be cost (towards the 90's the RX7's were coming up in price to the point that most people didn't want to spend the $$ which is one of the reasons we don't have TII verts.)

and the final nail in the coffin?

Declining sales towards the end of the FC's run and the death of the FD on our shores.

Ice blue had the best answer in here.

Dont know. Cause piston cars suck and no one cares. Because it would be impossible for every female to be super model material. Gas here is 1.03. God. And the last question, good one i really dont know. Im gonna have to go with god again but started with a chicken.

I can't believe you guys don't know. Because when Mazda in Japan tried to tell the US makers about how many rotors to put in, they kept saying, "What? You want us to make TREE rotors?!"

Horrible pun, was funnier in my head.

well no, i lied. The real reason that Mazda did not sell the 3 rotor here was due to the fact that most Americans are impatient and drive like total clueless retards. They foresaw many lawsuits on the premise that the car was a deadly product so they said "**** them" and dropped the 3-rotor FC project.

Less power = less stupid retards dying = less lawsuits

That's the real answer

Yea man, gas is so expensive here. Back where I used to live in eastern BC gas was a $1.12. Now im on the coast but you would think as you go to the big city it gets more expensive.

The typical american answer. I dont know if your serious which I highly doubt but I do guarantee when they asked how many rotors the americans were like huh what are rotors? Rotors are in a ratary engine? Then blah blah blah with the whole what is a rotary engine, the list goes on.

Of course the Canadians would never say anything like that though

Yeah, the best I can come up with is a mazda model produced in the late 60's/early 70's, probably overseas (japan/Australia)

My understanding for the no turbo verts was that they would not make the minimum MPG, thus they would have to have a "gas guzzler" tax applied to them.

Wasn't the 10th AE supposed to have been a 20b turbo?
