Unhappy Why is my transmission slipping when cold?

My brother had this auto tranny rebuilt with new torque convertor and all new bands, clutches, whatever last year. I think it even has a shift kit. It has been slipping when cold lately. I can't take off in it until it warms completely up. The transmission shop told him he may not have broke it in properly, and something about the seals in it. Anyone here know what he means? I would like to fix it if possible. I would rather have a 5 speed, but money is tight right now! If anyone knows what this could be, let me know. Thanks!

Break in on an auto? There is practiclly nothing to break in. I think the shop is FOS. If your still under warranty then take it back and tell them to take care of it.
