Pretty common for that to break...could be from age, neglect, or overheating, most likely overheating.

Yeah, I konw that dumbshit. I'm just saying it's good that it wasn't a apex that was the reason his motor blew.

No, theyre not repairable. Plus, there are enough irons in the world you shouldnt need to.

As for whether or not that can be *caused by* overheating, or is teh *cause of* overheating, I guess its sor tof like the ckicken and the egg. All I know is about half of the overheated motors I get into have such damage. Maybe the engine overheated the first time for some other reason, cracked the jacket, and from then on wouldnt hold coolant or stay cool. OR maybe, it just cracks due to age or stress and from then on you have a cooling problem.

Which housing's jacket is the one that breaks the most (Front rotor, rear rotor or both)? My engines coolant seals are starting to go and I wanted to rebuild the engine myself.

It looks like overheating occurred minorly at first, but the damage made the heat worse and worse, until we have what you see here.

As for the chicken and the egg, the egg obviously came first, if you think evolution-wise, the reptiles and such laid eggs, that was long before a chicken ever showed up.
