Why is my check fuel light on

i got over half tank of gas and the light comes on. it has done this b4 but no drivability problems. sometymes it comes on when i start drivin it hard but then goes off after i settle down.


help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

bad or miss-aligned sender in gas tank

Could be also a loose connection or a wire starting to short out.Check your wires at the tank and to your dash.

i'll look at that but sometymes i smell fuel vapor when i first start the car could that be a bad O-Ring?

Depends on where the smell is coming from. From exhaust, underhood??? in car???

In car, bad tank seals.

under hood, PD, bad or missing carbon filter, or Gas lines

Exhaust, poor compression or missing emissons equippment.
