why isnt the fuel getting to the injectors????
why isnt the fuel getting to the injectors????
new fuel pump, new fuel filter, pleunty of fuel at end of filter. but there is no fuel getting to the rails, is there somthing in between the filters and the injector rails im not seeing??
There is a fuel pressure regulator between the filter and fuel injectors... I do not think it would stop the fuel though...
Pull the line off of the fuel filter (outside ofcourse) and jump the little yellow connector under the intake air filter... then turn the ingnition to the on position briefly... Do not try to start the car... See if fuel shoots out of the filter... If not, make sure you are getting power to the pump... If you are getting fuel there, then trace the fuel lines from there to your injectors till you find the problem...

What makes you beleive there is no fuel getting to the injectors?
After the filter there is:
1. primary rail
2. fuel pressure regulator
3. secondary rail (FPR and 2nd rail are together)
4. return back to tank
Either you have clogged/non-working injectors or a crimped line... Atleast that is what I am guessing...

There shouldnt be anything in between the filter and the rails that would stop fuel getting to them. Just the fuel line. Like mentioned above.. check to see if the line is crimped. And like asked above, How do you know the fuel isnt getting there?

Depending on how far you had the system apart to change all this stuff, you may have the fuel lines on backwards. On the ones I've seen, it's in (from filter) at the bottom, out (to tank) at the top. There are checkvalves that prevent it from flowing if you connect them backwards. If you pop the line off from the filter and shoot a blast of fuel out, then they're probably on backwards.
The VERY LAST THING in line should be the FPR. Attached to the FPR should be the RETURN line.
It sounds like you have the pressure and return lines on backwards where they interface with the engine, OR somehow put the fuel rails and hoses on *** backwards/upside down.
Is this a USA engine or a JSPEC engine? Fuel lines are arranged differently on the JSPEC vs the USA version.
Did I mention: THE FPR IS THE LAST THING IN the fuel rail system. From there the fuel returns to the tank.

If you disconnect the hose from the filter and run the pump, does fuel come out? If you disconnect the hose at the return line and run the pump, does fuel come out?
Do you have a fire extinguisher??????
Do you have car and house insurance?
Do you have latex gloves? humor
All of the above.
None are required unless you're dumb enough to light a cigarette (or other naked flame) while handling fuel. The pump only needs to run for a second or two fuel to check that fuel (hopefully) comes out the hose. Put a container under the hose obviously.
Smokers get what they deserve...

I'm having the same problem. I have a S4 JSPEC Turbo II motor. What is different about the fuel lines from the US SPEC ones? I'm also going to check my coil packs to see if they're producing enough spark.
I'm definitely getting fuel to the fuel filter, but don't seem to be getting any to past the injectors as there's no fuel on the spark plugs at all when i remove them, just a little bit of oil.

On US engines the fuel goes to the primary rail first then the secondary rail, so the PD is on the primary rail and the FPR is on the secondary rail.
On Japanese engines the fuel goes to the secondary rail first then the primary rail, so the PD is on the secondary rail and the FPR is on the primary rail.
If you hook the fuel lines up backwards, the FPR will act like a check valve and no fuel will flow. Check that the FPR is connected to the return line. That's all that really matters.

Look at the engine bay while standing in front of the drivers side fender. I know that if its us it should be the line on the left hooked to the fuel filter. Also, fuel can flow out without a fuel pump if the line is closer to the ground than the fuel itself, make sure you're getting good voltage at the pump.
