Why does my fuel pump still kick on with no relay

Why does my fuel pump still kick on with no relay

I tried wiring in a cutoff switch for the fuel pump, went to test it and it does literally nothing. Disconnected the relay and fuel pump still kicks.
Edit: nevermind lol fuel pump has a different relay because it's a 255

Then some of those solenoids may no longer be functional.
Is the air pump still on the car?
