when i first got my car a year and a half ago, if the car sat for a long time and you started it up, it would activate the accelerated warmup system, and would rev to like 3k rpm for about 15-20 seconds

now it dosn't work...why?


(not that it's a bad thing it dosn't work or anything, i was just curious)

 

probably you are starting in gear, with just the clutch pushed in

 

Not that it really means anything, but I'm leaving the AWS unplugged on my fresh rebuilt.

Engines should NOT be run at 3K when cold for 15-20 seconds.
