Why does the BAC need coolant pipes ?
I definetly do not know, but I can take a guess. Its for cooling. The bac is a vibrator. I forgot what the hetz rating is but you can hear this vibration through the air cleaner when the engine is running. Then again it could be for some other reason.
Hailers, i dont think that the BAC vibrates.
It isn't built for a high duty cycle.
It is controled by the vaccum switches and come son to allow for more power when accessories are on.
I have no other ideas though on why it needs water running through it.

same reason the throttle body has coolant running through it.
simply it doesn't need it
but if u wanna know y mazda did it, i guess it's to get and then keep the whole engine at a consistant temperature.
as said the bac keeps the engine from dying when returning to idle and when acc r on. it opens and lets air into the engine after the throttle body.

Hello SNIPER. Here is a description of the bac operation by Paul Stokes I believe http://www.teamfc3s.org/info/articles/idle.html It says the duty cycle is 125 hertz. I might have an advantage in this area. I have spare bacs which I have patched to the harness on a running engine. The poor thing will buzz or vibrate in your hand. Since it does this all the time I kinda thought that maybe it needs some cooling, even if it is 180 degree water.

It doesnt open and close at a hight rate of speed, but after reading at the link you provided, i see that its a PCM servo!
Thats why it needs cooling, the coil gets hot from pulsing the voltage at a variable rate!
Amazing.
(Its a crude server mechanizm though)
Now, somthing like this would be on a coordinated stator based servo.
Kinda like a harddrive head server mechanism.
this is facinating.
