Question why do i get such bad gas mileage???

ok, i have a 91 N/A and i dont know what is up, the only current mod that i have done is intake and i was aware that is supposedly helped with gas mileage. but heres the problem, i am only getting 10 (at my worst) - 14 (at my very best, perfect drivng) miles per gallon on the street. what is wrong?!?!!? i am thinking that it has to be the injectors leaking becuase my car does have a problem with flooding when i start it, and every time i do start it, it is followed by a nice cloud of smoke.

so, questions:

1)are there any fixes or additives that i can put in my gas that will clean it up (stuff that you people have had good experiences with)?

2)Is there anyway to clean the injectors manually, or take them to a shop to get "un-clogged" or whatever?

3)If #2 isnt probible, what is a good brand of new injectors, and what prices do they normally run?

4)Any other help is appreciated!!! thanks all

-eric

P.S. two things: the guy that smogged my car said that it was running rich. could this be a symptom of leaky injectors (basically, can leaky injectors cause a car to run rich?) and if it isnt the injectors, what else could be causing such crappy mileage?

thanks

heres sum things to try

it could be your injectors are leakin same thing happened to me minus the intake part run a cutoff switch for your fuel pump every time you start the car you will have to turn the switch on and everytime you cut the car off hit the switch car dies from no gas and then turn every thing else off i got pics from some one on here but i cant find them easiest way is look under your dash and there will be an electrical connection box lookin thing that is the fuel pump thing you need to run the switch from i placed the switch on the removable panal under the steering colum
another way would be is go get the rc engineering hi flow injectors new fuel rail and replace your other ****
you could also try some injector cleaner if you try that make sure you use the highest octane gas you can get for the full tank the gas also helps it clean
i ran and still do run 93 octane which is the highest i can find here it helps keep the fuel system cleaner than anything else hint when you change the oil drop in a bottle of injector cleaner

I also wondered about fuel mileage. I have an 87n/a that was averaging 12-14 mpg on the street. I am going to get my injectors cleaned soon, but I have not had a flooding problem. Kind of a 90k mile maintenance thing.
I recently ran a new ground wire (8 or 10 gauge, I forget) from the throttle body/plenum to the battery. My idle is smoother (not perfect but better, sometimes can't tell the car is running), 3800 hesitation is lessened, and my MPG seems to have gone up.
I don't know if the extra ground is helping the ignition system (plugs fire more consistently) or the injectors (if your injectors do not have a good ground they may not be operating at their best).
