Why didn't the Turbo XS S BOV work for you?

I was doing some searching on this topic, and I can't understand why some people are saying the S type BOV is a leaker and won't hold over 10 psi.

I have read the specs for this BOV, and I have one installed and I have no problems with it holding a solid 15 psi. Even though the company says only hold 10 psi, I just added more washers and it worked great for me.

Please post your experiences with the Turbo XS BOV.

You can make Any BOV not leak .. like you said just add washers. But that BOV's limitation is in its air bleed holes. They are small to create alot of noise, you get to much boost going and it can't escape those small *** holes quick enough, therfore causeing some compressor surge .. thats why I went with its bigger brother. Not as lound but safer at high boost the Type-H model.

Look at the size of the bleed holes on it .. I posted pics of it on this thread;

I really don't see a reason to get the smaller BOV - the Type H is only marginally more expensive, if that, and blows off smooth at ALL boost and throttle levels.

If you've already got the Type S, I really don't know what boost pressure it leaks at - you'd have to test the system with an air compressor to find where the liftoff point is. Then, you'd have to see at what point it starts surging. I've known a few people with the Type S, and they've had no problems that I know of.
