Yes, they only have 4 spark plugs, most places won't have any idea what a rotary is, so it is expected...

make sure use same type of plugs that came off the motor, others would cut off spex seal due to elongated contact.

no, it's a 4 cylinder, but the computer says the 13b needs both plugs. so he got you 2 plugs for each cylinder.

edit- i know its not a 4 cylinder for the record. but when morons see 1.3L they think 4 cyl.

I used to be in sales, if someone came in asking for something you gave them double what they need just to make it a larger sale.

BAP-GEON once gave me 8 plugs, then I enlightened them about a rotary. Then he still gave me 3 trailing and one leading. Go figure.

They probably provided 8 plugs as the dealer packs coming in packages of 4 of each type.

not true, they always have them in individually packaged ones, unless they are out, in which case they should tell you.

Anywho, don't worry about it, just take it back and tell then there are 2 leading spark plugs, and 2 trailing spark plugs. Then tell them it was very inconvenient to have to drive all the way back to exchange so ask for a discount. It always works for me!

Did they at least give you leading and trailing plugs, like 4 of each? When I bought my plugs the guy gave me 4 leading, and I told him I need two of these and the two other ones. He gave me the most blank look and said "Others?"

That problem doesnt happen at my store because when someone comes in needing something for a RX-7 they get me. like they think just selling the parts for such a "difficult engine to work with" is so hard. dont happen very often though.
