Why is 86-88 listed as 200 lbs heavier than 89-91?

Hi folks... can anyone explain why the 86-88 RX-7 is listed as 200 lbs heavier than the 89-91 models?

The later models (series 5 89-91) were heavier due to a changing in re-enforcements in the dash, engine design, mousebelts (and the structure changes for them) bumper design, interior materials and increased sound proofing.

There was also other minor things, like the jack changed from the light weight german (and very expensive) one to a conventional (read cheaper) steel one and things like that..

Yes, but the 86-88 models still have a better power to weight ratio.
