Question Who's heard of Thrust Performance cat-back?

Looking at buying a used cat back for my '91 N/A?

They said 'Greddy' but on the muffler is 'Thrust Performance tuning system' 'taking aim at the competition'

Never heard of these, can't seem to find it on the web, It's in good shape, heavy wall pipes, good welding, mufflers are steel and have been painted black.

Needs tips...What do you think? how much should I pay? My stock cat back is still good, but the heat shields are rattling and it need tips as well.

Will I notice any real performance improvement or is this just 'bench racing' material!

"Trust"?
GReddy USA's parent company is Trust.&nbsp Trust was supposed to come into the U.S. as "Trust", but there was a fight with a stupid radiator company already in the U.S. called Trust.&nbsp That radiator company did not want to give up their name, so Trust used "GReddy" as their U.S. identity.&nbsp GReddy was used in Japan as a line of products under Trust.&nbsp Trust Japan used GReddy, GREX, and GRacer for their parts lines...

That's the one!

Memory or the eyes must be failing!

Is this a good setup?, as I said everything in in very good shape, but the previous owner cut off the tips. He left plenty of pipe to attach a new one, just adds a little work and the cost of the tips themselves.

Can some one tell me more about this package, quality, performance gains if any,
sound level as relating to a stock cat-back.

Also can I use this in the future if I want to add a header and a mid pipe? Any links etc. to a
more complete description of this setup?

I need to make a descision today, or somebody else get's it

Thanks!

Are they 50 or 60mm? Just measure the Y-pipe end of the flange. 60mm is about 2-1/2" if I remember correctly.

Trust/Greddy is a good brand, so as long as they haven't been damaged, the quality will be high. The sound will probably be a little deeper than stock, but if you are leaving the rest stock, you won't notice much of a difference.

I don't think you will notice much of a performance gain until you swap out the rest of the exhaust, but it won't hurt.

For what its worth, I just picked up a set of 60mm Trust mufflers from my local Pick and Pull. One of them had a small dent on the bottom of the muffler: http://www.offsitens.com/rx7/turboii/trust1.JPG I still got the pair for 40 bucks + tax.

You can buy brand new mufflers + Y-pipe from MazdaTrix for $540, so don't pay too much for those mufflers. http://www.mazdatrix.com/e86-92.htm

Trust/GReddy makes some of the BEST (IMO) products for import vehicles in terms of quality.&nbsp Their mufflers and exhaust systems are some of the quietest on the market.
