That because it's a water seal burning water between the plates where the water flows. After warming up or long idle it goes away. It's internal not external

well that's not the only reason you'd be smoking, I think it'd be ok to drive seeing as how either way, you'd haveta get a rebuild eventually, whether from a dead engine or compression less from age.

to get it done professionally, around 2-3000 doing it urself, if u have the tools i say about 1500. if u dont have the tools, then it will be around 25-3000.

when u start from cold, smoke comes out?? if so then its normal cuz all cars run rich when starting cold. try warming it up till the rpm goes down to 750 then check if theres smoke.

think rotary resurrection does 1k for engine, 2k total for install I think though apaprently they're not accepting install at the moment. He was selling some BTs for 3k I think, probably out by now, check their site for more info if you ever need a rebuild, think he's stationed out in tennessee. But all cars smoke on cold, just if it's still smoking after a while you should be worried.

drive to tennessee, hell you're closer than I am, cept hotels/motels are expensive as hell, probably more than shipping lol, course there's also that thing called work or school. Thought you could buy an rebuild kit for 800 or something?

one should note that there are several band-aid fixes for this, including that metal radiator repair **** from the parts store. it wont fix it, but it may buy you a couple months. if you want to do it right either send it to kevin or just rebuild it yourself. its not that hard to do, and its a great learning process

Still getting excesive white smoke. I know its normal to get smoke when engine is cold. But my car is going through the same phase as a cold engine would go through (smoke for 2-4 mins) but with only more smoke(white).
