Who wants a carbon fiber center console CHEAP!!!

So my consoles have been coming out good now. They are NOT PERFECT though. Perhaps Mazdaspeeds will be, I dont know. But Iam looking for one forum member to go out on a limb and buy one for 90$ to report to the masses what he/she thinks of it. It will have no openings whatsoever, a full flat front, as its easier to make and allows any custom install of guages, controllers, etc. Itll be thick and rigid, yet very light and wont crack, like the POS stock one. I do the series 4 shape only. Also that price includes the shifter surround. The clear coat/polyuerethane I use is a mile deep, and looks beautiful! I dont have any pics at this point, (unfortunately).
I own a speedshop in NH and do the CF work on the side. I have no formal training, and dont BS people about anything. I pride my shop and work on honesty. Which is why I say there may be flaws in the piece. But I am confident the piece will still be VERY VERY satisfactory. If there is anyone intrested I will need a money order sent to my shop. Consider it not a risk, as my shop on Central ave. has been there for over a year, and its not risky like paying just an individual, who mayhave nothing to lose.
Please reply here, or call me at the shop 11:30-6:00 est (cept Sun.) at 603 749 7199 and ask for Fred.

Lemme know
Fred

Man, why couldn't you have said this last week? I just dropped 75 for a new surround for the race car (I know Iknow, but I don't want an ugly center section)

Good question - what's involved in cutting holes in this stuff when we get one? I've never worked with CF b4. What kind of tools would be best to cut with and how will the material respond to being cut?

Its easy to cut. The best tool to do it with is a Dremel. The front will be flat, and can have holes cut to fit anything, for instance in mine I have a 5.5 monitor, cd deck, and safc.

And is sandpaper okay with CF? These maybe retarded questions, but this is new science for me.

Hey i would be interested as long as the thing fits right. I'd actually perfer one without holes like the ones you would be making because i have an aftermarket CD player installed below the non-functional stock radio. Im sure others would perfer them flat aswell for cheaper.

sandpaper will smooth out the edges after cutting no prob. I make them to order so in that sense they are unlimited, but I really only wanna sell one for 90$, so that that person can report to the forum what the quality is like. After that they will be 125$ or so. But as of yet no one has sent me any $, so the first one is the one.

How about some close ups of the piece. Nobody will send that much money for something that they cannot see. Take lots of pics and close ups including the details, defects, pins (ALL OF IT)... Details details details!!!!

If you will do a C.O.D., and I can see a picture of it then I will definitely do it. I dont want to send out 90$ somewhere though with no idea of what I will be getting. I don't think anyone here is doubting your honesty at all, but I think that everyone wants to kind of know what they are going to get before they pay for it. so give me those 2 things and my money will be at your door.
